For Aromatherapy: Add 1 drop to a diffuser filled with the manufacturer-recommended amount of water. Diffuse for short periods in a spacious, well-ventilated room.

For Diffuser Blends: Combine 1 drop with milder oils such as Lavender, Eucalyptus, Lemon, Pine Needle or Cedarwood.

For Personal Inhalation: Add no more than 1 drop to a personal aromatherapy inhaler. Do not apply the oil inside or directly beneath the nostrils.

For Natural Perfumery: Use sparingly as a powerful sweet-minty note in professionally formulated botanical fragrances.

For Home Fragrance: Incorporate in very small quantities into professionally formulated candles, wax melts, aroma oils and room-fragrance products.

For Topical or Massage Products: Do not use in homemade topical blends. Use only in professionally formulated finished products at the concentration permitted by the supplier’s current safety assessment and category-specific documentation.

For Bath Use: Direct use in bathwater is not recommended because the oil may cause irritation and increase systemic exposure.

For external and aromatic use only. Do not ingest. Wintergreen Oil contains a high concentration of methyl salicylate, a salicylate related to aspirin. Even a small swallowed quantity may cause serious poisoning, particularly in children. Keep the bottle locked away and completely out of their reach.

Never apply undiluted Wintergreen Essential Oil directly to the skin. Direct do-it-yourself topical use is not recommended. Finished cosmetic products must comply with product-specific concentration limits and undergo an appropriate safety assessment. European scientific assessments establish different permitted methyl-salicylate concentrations according to product type and age group.

Do not use on infants or children. Avoid use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically approved by a qualified medical professional.

People with an allergy or sensitivity to aspirin, salicylates or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines should avoid this oil.

Seek medical advice before use if taking anticoagulant, antiplatelet or other blood-thinning medication; if you have a bleeding disorder; or before surgery.

Avoid contact with the eyes, face, nostrils, inner ears, mucous membranes and sensitive areas. Do not apply to broken, inflamed, freshly shaved or damaged skin.

Do not use with heating pads, hot-water bottles, tight bandages or occlusive coverings. Do not apply over large areas of the body.

Use diffusers intermittently in a spacious, well-ventilated room. Discontinue use immediately if irritation, nausea, dizziness, headache, ringing in the ears, breathing discomfort or another adverse reaction occurs.

Store tightly closed in a cool, dry and dark place away from heat, sparks and open flames.
