The store uses the fc_session cookie for sessions, sign-in, bag continuity and request protection. Its configured lifetime is seven days. Currency and locale preferences can be stored to provide the selected experience. The fc_analytics_consent cookie records an analytics choice for up to 180 days. Recording a refusal does not authorize analytics. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, but blocking necessary storage may interrupt checkout.
Optional analytics
When enabled, optional Forest Clay visitor analytics and Google Analytics start only after you grant analytics permission. Use Privacy choices in the footer to allow, refuse or withdraw that permission. The privacy panel identifies enabled analytics and retention settings. Local storage keys beginning fc_analytics_ support analytics session continuity, choice updates and purchase-event deduplication. Google services may set their own _ga identifiers under their configured retention settings.
Installed app and third parties
The installable web app can cache public assets for loading and offline information. Installing it does not grant analytics or advertising permission. A selected payment provider may use necessary fraud-prevention technologies during payment; its own notice applies. Links to other websites take you to services with their own storage and privacy practices.
Changing your choice
Use the footer controls at any time. You may also clear browser storage and uninstall the app. Withdrawing optional permission stops future optional collection through this store; it does not automatically erase records lawfully collected earlier. Contact us under the privacy request process if you also wish to request deletion.

Optional analytics starts only after you choose “Allow analytics”. We use it to understand traffic, improve the store and measure shopping activity. You may choose “Essential only” without affecting shopping and change your choice through “Privacy choices” in the footer.
When allowed, our analytics records a random browser identifier, visited page paths, visit dates and times, approximate country and city, device and browser type, referrer domain, campaign labels, active time and shopping events. We do not record typed messages, passwords, card details or screen recordings. URLs are reduced to page paths; private order and account links are normalised.
Full IP addresses are encrypted and retained for up to 7 days, then erased. They are masked in reports and may be revealed only by an administrator; that access is logged. Our visit records expire after 90 days. Approximate IP location may be wrong for mobile networks, VPNs or shared connections. External IP location lookup is currently disabled.
Google Analytics is currently disabled in this integration. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable optional analytics.
The essential consent preference cookie (fc_analytics_consent) lasts up to 180 days. After consent, fc_analytics_session in local storage groups activity into visits, renewing after 30 minutes of inactivity. fc_analytics_purchases avoids repeat purchase events in the browser for up to 30 days. Google may set its own analytics cookies after consent. Withdrawing consent clears our browser analytics identifiers and Google analytics cookies on this site, stops future collection, and removes stored full IP addresses for that browser; existing visit records expire under the retention period. The preference-change marker contains only a timestamp to synchronise browser tabs.
To request deletion of retained analytics, contact care@forestclay.com. If your browser still has the analytics preference cookie, the support team may use your browser’s visitor reference to locate its records. Customer accounts and order records have their own retention purposes described above.
